From October 24 - 26, Kappa Delta Pi chapters from around the country and four international countries converged at the Downtown Sheraton Dallas Convention center for the 49th Biennial Convocation. Chapter members, professors, educators, administrators, Deans, and chapter executive boards attended to learn more from each other and network with other chapters and its members. During the week, Kappa Eta was graced with the opportunity to showcase the triumphs of the past two years (2011-2013 chapter years). Beginning with the awarding of the ACE (Achieving Chapter Excellence Award) on the first night for being one of the top chapters within the KDP organization, continuing on to our Poster Session where our chapter showcased our efforts during the service trip to South Africa, our Light it Up Blue! extravaganza, and our Anti-Bullying campaign, Kappa Eta made its presence known to the community of professionals. Among the topics discussed by various chapters were: edTPA standards, Common Core State Standards, Differentiated Instruction, Parent/Teacher Collaboration, and so much more! Materials have been loaded into the KDP Global Library for the Kappa Eta chapter and are available for members to view and use. The next Biennial Convocation will be held in 2015 in Orlando, Florida.
Take a look at our photo gallery for additional photos of our experience.
